Nations FC have secured a historic place in the MTN FA Cup final after a narrow 1-0 victory over Aduana FC in their semi-final clash at the Swedru Sports Stadium.
The two Ghana Premier League sides delivered a competitive and closely fought encounter, but Nations FC made the brighter start and capitalized early. Winger Emmanuel Annor found the breakthrough just seven minutes into the game, finishing off a well-worked attacking move to hand the Abrankese-based side a crucial lead.
That early goal ultimately proved decisive.
Aduana FC responded with urgency and determination, pushing forward in search of an equalizer. However, they struggled to create clear-cut chances, particularly in the second half, as Nations FC remained well-organized and disciplined defensively. Despite late pressure from Aduana, Nations held firm to protect their advantage and seal an important victory.
The win sends Nations FC into their first-ever FA Cup final, marking a major milestone in the club’s progress. They will face either Dreams FC or Medeama SC, who meet in the other semi-final.
With a CAF Confederation Cup spot at stake for the winner, Nations FC now stand on the brink of a historic first major trophy.
