A man says he cannot move into the house his wife secretly helped him complete, because people will laugh at him.
The couple had bought a land years ago and were gradually developing it.
Unfortunately, the husband later lost his job.
She then, secretly decided to complete the house using her salary, provision business profits and a loan.
It was her plan to surprise him with it on his 40th birthday.
That day finally came and she took him to the site.
The almost-completed house was decorated with balloons and a “Happy Birthday Honey” boldly written.
To her surprise he didn’t smile.
“So you did all this behind my back?
You think I’m useless?” , he asked.
He fumed, and refused to enter the house. That he cannot pack into a house built with woman power while he was jobless.
Tears roll down his cheeks as he laments that people will laugh at him.
This has led to a prolonged malice between the couples, that he now sleeps in the living room.
“Should I wait for him to get a job before completing the house?
..did I do wrong by trying to surprise him?” , she concludes with a question.
