Team Ghana has departed for Rabat to compete in the ITF PNB Paribas World Team Cup Africa Qualifiers, scheduled to run from March 30 to April 3 at Club Wifaq Tennis.
Representing the Ghana Tennis Federation in the men’s division are senior player Bernard Yawson and promising junior Emmanuel Amosogo Amobire. The team is accompanied by coach Daniel Kwakye, popularly known as Okoro, and team official Godfred Ansong.
Ghana heads into the tournament with confidence after securing a bronze medal in last year’s edition, and will be aiming to improve on that performance against top competition from across the continent.
The team also expressed gratitude to Charity Gbedawo for her support, as well as key stakeholders including National Coordinator Henry Larbi and GTF President Isaac Abe Duah.
The federation reaffirmed its commitment to developing wheelchair tennis and expanding opportunities for athletes with disabilities to compete internationally.
