The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League match-week 27 delivered excitement across the country, with three home wins, two away victories and four draws recorded from the nine matches played.

A total of 19 goals were scored in the round, with home sides netting 11 while away teams accounted for eight, highlighting a competitive weekend across all centres.

The round kicked off on Friday with Medeama SC securing a 2-0 win over Eleven Wonders FC at the TnA Stadium. Goals from Kelvin Obeng and Salim Adams ended their six-game winless run and sent the Mauves and Yellows back to the top of the table.

Saturday’s lone fixture saw Vision FC held to a goalless draw by Basake Holy Stars at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Park in what was an entertaining but low-scoring encounter.

Sunday produced the bulk of the action, starting with a dramatic 2-2 draw between Hearts of Oak and Swedru All Blacks at the Accra Sports Stadium. The Phobians fought back from two goals down, with Mawuli Wayo and Frank Duku Abora scoring in the second half after Rudolf Mensah and Williams Danquah had given the visitors a commanding lead.

At the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park, Aduana FC and Asante Kotoko played out an intense but goalless draw in what was arguably the standout fixture of the round.

Karela United returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Bibiani GoldStars at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. First-half goals from Mohammed Awal and Felix Mortu ensured the win, while the Miners surrendered top spot once again and dropped to second, now a point behind Medeama.

Dreams FC produced a dominant display to thrash Hohoe United 3-0 away from home. Adams Aminu and Suraj Seidu struck in the first half before Abdul Razak Salifu added a third after the break, extending their unbeaten run to five matches.

Nations FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Berekum Chelsea. Samuel Tenedu gave the visitors the lead in the 62nd minute, but Brandon Antwi scored late to rescue a point for the hosts.

At the Nsenkyire Arena, Bechem United claimed an impressive 2-1 away win over FC Samartex. Despite Kofi Tompuo missing an early penalty, Samuel Okai and Yaw Annor found the net to secure victory for the Hunters.

The biggest shock of the round came at the Wenchi Sports Stadium where Young Apostles FC stunned Heart of Lions with a 3-0 victory. The emphatic result lifts Apostles out of the relegation zone in what could prove a crucial turning point in their season.

With the title race tightening and the relegation battle intensifying, match-week 27 has set up an intriguing run-in as teams continue to fight for their respective targets.I
