Ghanaian boxer Alfred Lamptey has declared his readiness ahead of his highly anticipated bout against Maxwell Awuku at the upcoming Resurrection Fight Night scheduled for April 5 at Laboma Beach Resort in Accra.
The former WBC Youth, West African and National Champion says he is focused on delivering in the ring rather than making bold pre-fight statements. “I believe in action, not talking too much. I want to be great in boxing, so I am ever ready for any opponent in my weight class. I have also prepared very well — the ring will decide,” Lamptey stated.
Widely regarded as one of Ghana’s brightest boxing prospects, Lamptey also holds the distinction of being the youngest professional boxer to win the prestigious Sports Writers Association of Ghana award.
His clash with former world title contender Awuku headlines a stacked fight card expected to thrill boxing fans. The event will also feature rising talents such as Godwin Tetteh, Benjamin Lamptey, and Emmanuel Quartey.
Ghana’s only female world boxing champion, Abigail Quartey, is also set to make an appearance, adding further excitement to the fight night.
