Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer has been called up to the Ghana national team as a replacement for injured forwards Iñaki Williams and Brandon Thomas-Asante.

The Hamburg SV striker earns a late inclusion in the Black Stars squad after both Williams and Thomas-Asante were forced to withdraw due to injury concerns ahead of Ghana’s upcoming international assignments.

Konigsdorffer’s invitation offers him another opportunity to stake a claim in the national team setup, having previously been on the fringes of the squad. His pace, versatility and attacking instincts are expected to provide head coach Otto Addo with additional options in the final third.

The 22-year-old has been in impressive form at club level in Germany, catching the attention of the technical team with his performances in the Bundesliga 2.

Ghana will be hoping the new addition integrates quickly into the squad as preparations intensify for their upcoming matches. The Black Stars technical team remains optimistic that Konigsdorffer can make a meaningful impact despite his late arrival.
