The 11th edition of the Sheikh Sharubutu Ramadan Cup is set to climax at the Madina Astro Turf on Monday, March 23, 2026, in a colourful celebration of football, unity and cultural identity.
Held under the theme “Bringing Zongo Communities Together,” this year’s tournament has featured 16 communities competing for top honours, reinforcing its status as one of Ghana’s most impactful grassroots football initiatives. The competition continues to promote social cohesion, nurture emerging talent and strengthen bonds across Zongo communities nationwide.
Named in honour of National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, the tournament has grown into a respected fixture on the domestic football calendar since its launch in 2015.
The Ghana Football Association has maintained strong support for the initiative, providing logistics and match officials as part of its commitment to grassroots development.
Black Stars duo Mohammed Kudus and Kamaldeen Sulemana have also contributed to the competition, donating jerseys, trophies and individual awards.
GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo is expected to attend the grand finale.
