Matches-week 26 of the Ghana Premier League delivered excitement across various centres, with goals, surprises and crucial results shaping the standings.

At the University of Ghana Stadium, Eleven Wonders FC and FC Samartex shared the spoils in a 2-2 thriller, with Eden Kofi Asamoah scoring late to rescue a point for the hosts.

At the Kpando Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak were held to a goalless draw by Heart of Lions in an entertaining but wasteful encounter.

Swedru All Blacks secured a narrow 1-0 win over Hohoe United thanks to Rudolf Mensah’s seventh goal of the season, scored just before half-time to end their three-game winless run.

Basake Holy Stars edged Young Apostles FC 1-0, with Francis Oteng’s early strike proving decisive as they ended their poor run while halting Apostles’ momentum.

Dreams FC continued their fine form with a 2-1 victory over Medeama SC, extending their unbeaten run to five matches in all competitions, while Medeama slipped further after going six league games without a win.

Berekum Chelsea returned to winning ways with a 2-0 triumph over Karela United, courtesy of goals from Seidu Abubakar and Dominic Frimpong, ending their recent struggles and halting Karela’s unbeaten streak.

Bechem United also bounced back with a 2-1 win against Aduana FC, with Augustine Okraku netting his tenth of the season to inspire the Hunters.

Bibiani GoldStars climbed to the top of the table after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Vision FC, as Michael Nkoah struck in the second half to secure all three points.

The standout result of the round came at the Baba Yara Stadium, where Asante Kotoko delivered a dominant 3-0 win over Nations FC to secure their first-ever league victory against their regional rivals.

The results have tightened the race at both ends of the table, setting up an exciting run-in as the season progresses.
