Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has made a significant contribution of $100,000 to support the Ghana national football team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The donation was announced during the official Black Stars fundraising launch, an initiative aimed at rallying financial backing from corporate bodies, celebrities and the general public to aid the team’s preparations for the global tournament.

Shatta Wale, leader of the Shatta Movement, joined a growing list of high-profile supporters who have pledged resources to boost the team’s campaign. His contribution is expected to play a role in enhancing logistical arrangements, player welfare and overall team readiness.

The fundraising drive forms part of a broader effort to unite Ghanaians behind the national team as they seek to secure qualification and make a strong impact on the world stage.

Organisers of the initiative have welcomed the gesture, describing it as a major boost that reflects the strong bond between Ghana’s entertainment industry and football, while encouraging more stakeholders to contribute to the national cause.
