Founder and CEO of East Legon Football Academy, Winston Yeboah Danso, has donated GH₵10,000 to support the Fafali girls’ football team ahead of the upcoming Street Child World Cup in Mexico.

The contribution officially launches the “Fafali Mexico Club 1000 Campaign,” an initiative aimed at raising funds for the team’s participation in the global tournament scheduled from May 4 to May 15.

Out of the total amount, GH₵5,000 was donated on behalf of East Legon Football Academy, while the remaining GH₵5,000 came from Danso personally. The donation is expected to serve as a catalyst for further fundraising efforts to cover travel, accommodation, training, and other logistical expenses.

As part of the campaign, organizers are targeting support from 1,000 individuals and organizations, each contributing GH₵500 to help fund the team’s trip.

The Street Child World Cup brings together young people from underserved communities worldwide, combining football with advocacy, leadership training, and discussions on children’s rights.

For the Fafali girls, the tournament presents an opportunity to represent Ghana on the global stage, gain valuable exposure, and inspire others. Organizers have urged corporate bodies, philanthropists, and the public to support the initiative.
