Vice President commends Methodist Church at Bethany Society’s 40th Anniversary

The Vice President of Ghana, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has praised the role of the church in shaping values and supporting community development during the 40th anniversary celebration of the Bethany Methodist Church Society in Dzorwulu.

According to a post she shared on her Facebook page, the Vice President joined members of the Bethany Methodist Church Society of the Dzorwulu Circuit to mark the milestone with a commemorative thanksgiving service.

She noted that the anniversary reflects the dedication and commitment of the church’s founding members, whose efforts helped build the Society into what it is today.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang said the journey of the Bethany Society demonstrates God’s faithfulness and the strength of service and fellowship among members of the church.

She added that over the years the church has served as a place where faith is nurtured and friendships are built.

The Vice President acknowledged the church’s contribution to education, youth development and community life in the Dzorwulu area.

She commended the Methodist Church Ghana for its long-standing tradition of combining faith with education to shape individuals who contribute positively to society.

According to her, nurturing values, strengthening families and guiding young people are essential to building strong communities and a resilient nation.

She stressed that meaningful change in society often begins with the moral foundations that institutions such as the church continue to instill in people.
