Former Abdul Karim Zito has expressed disappointment with the recent performances of Asante Kotoko following his departure from the club.

The Porcupine Warriors have struggled to maintain consistency under their new technical setup, managing only one win, one draw and two defeats in their last four matches since Zito left the team.

After 25 matches in the Ghana Premier League, Kotoko currently occupy fifth position on the league table with 39 points, a situation that has raised concerns among the club’s supporters.

Speaking in an interview with Akoma FM, Zito revealed that he recently spoke to members of the team and did not hide his frustration over their recent results.

Despite his disappointment, the former Kotoko tactician urged the players not to give up as the season progresses, stressing the importance of fighting until the end.

Zito, who has since taken charge of AshantiGold SC, also emphasised his long-standing relationship with Kotoko, noting that he served the club for over a decade as a player and remains committed to its legacy and success.
