    Ghanaian high jumpers Kennedy Ocansey and Rose Yeboah delivered standout performances at the prestigious Big Ten Championships in the United States, further enhancing Ghana’s growing reputation on the collegiate athletics stage.

    Competing for the University of Illinois, Kennedy Ocansey soared to a remarkable clearance of 2.18m to clinch gold in the men’s high jump on Saturday.

    The victory marks a significant milestone in his collegiate career and underscores his steady rise within one of the NCAA’s most competitive conferences.

    Ocansey, who developed through Ghana’s athletics system before transitioning to the American collegiate circuit continues to demonstrate resilience, discipline, and ambition as he pushes toward elite international standards.

    On the women’s side, Rose Yeboah produced another impressive display, clearing 1.87m to secure gold at the Big Ten Indoor Championships. A proud alumna of Kumasi Girls Senior High School, Yeboah has built a strong reputation for her explosive take-off and technical precision.

    Since relocating to the United States to further her collegiate career, Yeboah has consistently elevated her performances against top-tier competition.

    The achievements of Ocansey and Yeboah not only reflect their individual dedication but also serve as inspiration to young athletes across Ghana.
