The US Defense Department said that Iran has been lying about only hitting military targets during its war against the US and Israel.
Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations Amir Saeid Iravani said during a tense showdown at a Security Council meeting that Iran has only targeted US military bases.
‘LIE,’ the US Central Command account on X wrote Sunday.
‘The Iranian Regime is actively targeting civilians and has attacked more than a dozen locations.’
The locations ranged from airports in Dubai, Kuwait and Iraq, as well as a hotel in Bahrain and residential areas of Tel Aviv and Qatar.
Photos showed smoke emerging outside Dubai International Airport on Saturday afternoon.
Central Command also posted various videos showing the US’ attempts to neutralize the Iranian military.
‘The Iranian regime’s reckless use and proliferation of ballistic missiles have been a dangerous threat for decades. Now, at the President’s direction, U.S. forces are eliminating the threat,’ CENTCOM wrote.

Iravani told America to be ‘polite’ at the emergency meeting following Operation Epic Fury, which saw airstrikes targeting Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.
‘I have one word only,’ Iravani said, at the meeting in New York City on Saturday. ‘I advise to the representative of the United States to be polite.’
‘It will be better for yourself and the country you represented, thank you.’
US Ambassador Mike Waltz hit back at Iravani and said: ‘Frankly, I’m not going to dignify this with another response.’
‘Especially, as this representative sits here, in this body, representing a regime that has killed tens of thousands of its own people and imprisoned many more simply for wanting freedom from your tyranny,’ he concluded.
The tense meeting saw Iravani describe the war against Iran as one against international law and international legal order under the United Nations Charter.
‘This morning, the United States regime – jointly and in coordination with the Israeli regime – initiated an unprovoked and premeditated aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran for the second time in recent months,’ Iran’s ambassador said.
‘This is not only an act of aggression; it is a war crime and a crime against humanity,’ Iravani continued.

US forces have killed 48 Iranian leaders and sank nine naval vessels, Donald Trump announced Sunday.
Three US service members were killed in the fighting. They have yet to be identified publicly.
Trump acknowledged that the three casualties were the first in his second term, as the January capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro and the June bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities were pulled off without a single American death.
‘We’ve done pretty well,’ he noted, adding, ‘But they’re great people, with outstanding records, outstanding,’ the president exclusively told The Daily Mail Sunday.
Trump also revealed a potential timeline for the war with Iran – suggesting fighting could go on for the next four weeks.
‘It’s always been a four-week process. We figured it will be four weeks or so. It’s always been about a four-week process so – as strong as it is, it’s a big country, it’ll take four weeks – or less,’ the president explained.
