Ghana striker Inaki Williams netted his first La Liga goal since October to inspire Athletic Club to a 1-1 draw at Rayo Vallecano.
The 31-year-old struck at the stroke of half-time to cancel Jorge Du Fruto’s 35th minute opener.
The Basque-born forward volleyed home at the edge of the box after receiving a pass from Alex Berenguer.
Williams has struggled for goals this season, with the strike against Vallecano his second in La Liga this campaign.
He is expected to make Otto Addo’s squad for March’s international friendlies against Germany and Austria as the Black Stars prepare for the World Cup.
Athletic Club legend made his Ghana debut in 2022 after switching allegiance from Spain and was part of the World Cup squad for the tournament in Qatar.
Williams will be hoping to make it back-to-back at the World Cup, having played a vital role in the qualifiers.
