There have been some impressive displays from Senior High School (SHS) athletes at the ongoing Ashanti Regional Super Zonals, held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

In the 200-meter final, it was fiercely contested, but St Louis SHS athlete Gladys Boateng emerged as the champion, clocking a time of 24.41 seconds.

Two athletes from TI Ahmadiyya Senior High School claimed the remaining podium spots. Adelaide Fosuaa won silver with a time of 24.25 seconds, while Fulera Sulemana secured bronze after finishing third in 24.28 seconds.

Popular Black Stars jama leader Ojoe Mensah rushed onto the pitch to present Fulera with a cash gift in recognition of her impressive performance. He was heard saying, “You will kill me, you will kill me,” much to the delight of the crowd at the stadium.
