Just when he believed his time in comedy had run its course, Dr Likee received an affirmation he never saw coming.

The actor, whose real name is Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, revealed that he had been preparing to bow out of the entertainment industry after years of churning out films and viral skits. In a conversation with Giovani Caleb on Showbiz 360, he explained that the thought of stepping away from acting had become increasingly serious.

He had already begun weighing life beyond the cameras when fate intervened at an airport.

There, he ran into President John Dramani Mahama. What began as a simple greeting turned into a moment that altered his plans. Dr Likee recounted that the President approached him warmly and mentioned that he often watches and enjoys his comedy content.

    The admission stunned him.

He said he felt both surprised and deeply touched that someone occupying the highest levels of public office would be following his work so closely. It was not something he had anticipated.

That brief exchange prompted him to reassess everything. According to the comedian, hearing such words from a national leader underscored the reach and relevance of his craft.

Instead of walking away, he chose to stay. The encounter reignited his enthusiasm and reminded him that his work connects with audiences across all walks of life. Knowing that a busy head of state still makes time to watch and laugh at his skits strengthened his confidence and solidified his decision to continue entertaining his fans.
