Hearts of Oak defender, Baba Adamu says they will be heading into their clash against Berekum Chelsea with great confidence after last week’s famous win over their eternal rivals Asante Kotoko in the Super Clash.
The 22-year-old, who scored the only goal in their 0-1 victory last week in Kumasi, believes the morale in camp is very high and the team is well-prepared for the next challenge.
“We are very confident [ahead of the game against Berekum Chelsea], especially after the win we had in the super clash against Kotoko last week,” he said.
“It has motivated us so well, and I know we will want to keep the consistency. So we are well prepared for that game.”
Baba Adamu’s header in the 14th minute sealed the precious win in Kumasi, and the Phobians will hope to build on that momentum as they return to action at the University of Ghana Stadium this weekend.
He joined the Phobians prior to the commencement of the ongoing season from Golden Kick, and has been outstanding. He an ambipedal and can operate in almost all the roles in defense.
Hearts remain unbeaten at their new home ground and are even yet to concede in five matches and will look to extend that impressive run when they face the Bibires in match-week 23 on Sunday, February 22.
