Black Stars coach, Otto Addo in the coming days will announce his squad for the March 2026 pre-World Cup friendly games against Germany and Austria.

The Black Stars on Friday, March 27, 2026, will take on ‘Das Team’ of Austria at the Ernst Happel Stadium, Vienna for their first pre-World Cup friendly game.

The team after leaving Vienna will conclude their assignment in Stuttgart on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Otto Addo and his technical team according to reports will give an opportunity for new players to come and justify themselves for selection ahead of the FIFA World Cup in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

The reports indicated that four players from the Ghana Premier League are expected to be included in the squad when the Ghana Football Association officially unveils the team list for the upcoming international friendlies.

Goalkeeper Benjamin Solomon Agbasi will receive his maiden Black Stars call-up and will join his club teammate Benjamin Asare who is the first choice shot stopper for the team.

Asante Kotoko midfielder, Hubert Gyau has also reportedly been named in the squad for the Germany and Austria games.

Hubert Gyau is understood to be on the verge of sealing a transfer to Danish outfit FC Midtjylland, with negotiations reportedly progressing positively.

In addition, Salim Adams of Medeama SC is widely expected to receive his first call-up to the Black Stars squad for the forthcoming matches.
