The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in partnership with the Ghana Police Service, will build a modern community football pitch at the Police Depot School in Tesano, Accra.

The initiative forms part of efforts to promote grassroots football development and provide improved sporting facilities for young people within the community.

According to the GFA, the proposed project will deliver a modern playing surface and upgraded infrastructure aimed at nurturing young talents while strengthening ties between football authorities and security institutions.

Officials from both the GFA and the Ghana Police Service met to formalise the partnership, stressing on the importance of sports in youth empowerment and community transformation.

The project, once completed, is expected to benefit students of the Police Depot School as well as young footballers in the Tesano enclave and surrounding areas in Accra.

The partnership highlights the GFA’s commitment to expanding quality football facilities nationwide and promoting community development through sport.
