The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has sanctioned several clubs and officials in the ongoing 2025/26 season as part of efforts to maintain discipline across competitions.

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko SC have been fined GH₵5,000 by the GFA Disciplinary Committee for misconduct.

The fine, issued on January 6, 2026, followed inappropriate public comments made by the club concerning match officials after their league fixture against FC Samartex on November 23, 2025.

The GFA ruled that the club’s remarks breached regulations regarding conduct toward match officials.

    Hearts Sanctioned After Super Clash

Accra Hearts of Oak SC were also hit with a GH₵10,000 fine and issued a stern warning after their supporters threw objects onto the pitch during the highly anticipated Super Clash against Asante Kotoko on November 9, 2025.

The decision was announced on December 15, 2025, with the GFA cautioning the club to ensure better crowd control in the future.

    Swedru All Blacks

Swedru All Blacks United FC were fined GH₵10,000 and handed a formal warning following incidents involving their supporters during an away match.

The decision, reported on January 28, 2026, stemmed from misconduct attributed to supporters at a pre-match hotel venue.

In addition to club sanctions, Hearts of Oak assistant coach Abdulai Gazale was handed a three-match ban and fined GH₵5,000 for misconduct after assaulting a ball retriever during a league match in November 2025.

The sanctions underline the GFA’s firm stance on misconduct involving clubs, officials, and supporters.
