An armored SWAT truck and a convoy of unmarked vehicles were seen leaving the area following a massive FBI operation that saw three people detained less than two miles from Nancy Guthrie‘s home.

After an armored SWAT vehicle, a convoy of unmarked vehicles and forensics teams were seen leaving the area, law enforcement activity increased at the site Friday night as more vehicles arrived including units believed to be federal agents.

Marked sheriff’s cars were followed by a federal evidence truck, according to CNN. A SWAT vehicle left earlier, while forensic teams reportedly left the area.

FBI officials told CNN that Guthrie has not yet been located and her abductor has not yet been identified, AZ Family reported.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said of the situation that the operation’s efforts were law enforcement ‘actively working a lead.’

Two men and a woman, believed to be the mother of one, were pulled from inside the property during the operation.

Three persons of interests have been detained, Fox News reported.

Pima County SWAT surrounded the residence and began searching the home after the three individuals were removed.

NewsNation’s Brian Entin said two of those detained appeared to surrender voluntarily, according to TMZ

According to NewsNation, a traffic stop nearby is believed to be connected to the operation. Officers blocked off the roadway just under two miles from Guthrie’s home, the outlet reported.

The investigation into Nancy’s kidnapping is nearing the two week mark after she was taken from her $1 million home in Tucson in the early hours of February 1.

The latest ransom note to TMZ, marking the third received so far, claimed to know the identity of Nancy’s kidnapper, asking for the full $100,000 FBI reward in bitcoin for the information.

Investigators have been inundated with thousands of tips after chilling doorbell camera footage was published the night of her disappearance.

The FBI released a detailed description of an individual, claiming the suspect is a man between 5’9” and 5’10” with an average build, who was wearing a black 25‑liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack in the video.

‘Three detained’ during massive SWAT raid in search for Nancy Guthrie

A SWAT operation descended near Nancy Guthrie’s neighborhood as officials reportedly pulled three people from a home located 1.9 miles away from the missing 84-year-old’s house.

Law enforcement reportedly detained two men and a woman, believed to be one of their mothers, from the residence during a raid in the continued search for Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother.

Pima County SWAT surrounded the residence and began searching the home after the individuals were removed.

According to NewsNation, a traffic stop nearby is believed to be connected to the operation.

Officers blocked off the roadway just under two miles from Guthrie’s home, the outlet reported.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office also flew overhead on Friday afternoon, potentially a significant development in connection to a rescue operation.

As the aircraft was launched, a mobile command center was seen leaving the sheriff’s office. Sources told NewsNation that SWAT was activated at the same time.

FBI investigate mysterious Range Rover in parking lot

A gray Range Rover was marked by FBI agents in a parking lot as a potential connection to the massive operation in Tucson in the search for Nancy Guthrie.

Law enforcement vehicles, including Pima County officers, parked either side of the vehicle.

Two officers stood with the vehicle before an FBI agent began photographing the exterior of the car and covered the license plate.

The vehicle’s connection in the search for Guthrie and the FBI raid on Friday night remains unclear.

FBI confirm Nancy Guthrie has not yet been located

FBI officials told CNN that Nancy Guthrie has not yet been located, and her abductor has not yet been identified, following a massive SWAT raid just miles away from Guthrie’s home.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said the operation was part of investigators ‘actively working a lead,’ AZ Family reported.

At least one man and one woman, believed to be mother and son, were pulled from inside the property during the operation.

Three suspects have been detained, according to Fox News.

SWAT leaves the area after third person is detained in Nancy Guthrie search

A SWAT vehicle was seen leaving the area where three people were detained less than two miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home.

The massive raid saw at least one man and one woman, believed to be mother and son, pulled from a home after police blocked off the area.

Fox News confirmed a third person was detained following the operation.

Pima County Sheriff’s Office announce statement is ‘forthcoming’

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office wrote on X that they will not hold a press briefing tonight regarding the recent SWAT raid in the hunt for Nancy Guthrie.

‘There is no press briefing scheduled for tonight regarding the Nancy Guthrie investigation,’ the department wrote.

    ‘A written statement is forthcoming.’

Latest ransom note alleges one of multiple Nancy Guthrie kidnappers has fled: ‘Be prepared to go international’

The third ransom note received by TMZ suggest that there are multiple people involved in Nancy Guthrie’s abduction, with one having fled the country.

On Friday afternoon, the outlet received a third email from a man claiming to know the identity of Guthrie’s kidnapper.

He cautioned law enforcement that they should ‘be prepared to go international’ to find the ‘main individual.’

TMZ reported that the email implied the kidnapper had fled to Mexico. The author also claimed to know Guthrie’s current condition.

The ransom demanded the full $100,000 reward from the FBI for information related to the case.

According to TMZ, the anonymous sender is seeking $50,000 in Bitcoin in exchange for ‘the name of the main individual,’ promising not to withdraw the funds until the suspected kidnapper is arrested.

Expert reveals Bitcoin may not be as untraceable as believed

As a third ransom note reached TMZ this afternoon demanding the FBI’s $100,000 reward in Bitcoin for information on Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping, a lawyer revealed how cryptocurrency isn’t totally anonymous.

‘There is a persistent myth that Bitcoin is an invisible cloak,’ Attorney Mahmoud Abuwasel told NBC News.

‘In reality, the blockchain is an unblinking eye… every single transaction is recorded and traceable forever.’

Experts are seeing an increasing amount of crypto-linked extortion toward victims who don’t always already hold cryptocurrency – a new development that is being exampled in Guthrie’s disappearance.

‘What this case suggests is something different,’ Abuwasel continued.

‘Criminals are now demanding crypto from victims who don’t hold it, betting a terrified family will go acquire it under duress.’

He told the outlet that such a tactic ‘means the pool of potential targets is much larger than anyone has been treating it.’

Former federal investigators have publicly stated that Bitcoin’s blockchain is completely traceable.

‘The moment a wallet address surfaces in an extortion case, investigators can watch the funds move in real time,’ Abuwasel added.

A total of three ransom notes have surfaced in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie. The latest has claimed to know the ‘name of the individual involved.’

The bitcoin address listed on the note was different to the original ransom note, which was sent to two local Tucson TV news stations and TMZ last week.

It remains unclear if the notes are genuine.

Genealogy company slam sheriff’s ‘devastating’ mistake in Nancy Guthrie investigation

A forensic genealogy company criticized Sheriff Chris Nanos’s decision to send key evidence in the Nancy Guthrie case to a private Florida lab instead of the FBI’s crime lab in Quantico.

‘This is so devastating,’ Kristen Mittelman, co-founder of Othram, told Fox News.

‘DNA Labs International is a traditional forensic lab that consumes evidence to make an STR [short tandem repeat] profile.

‘So I don’t understand why it didn’t go to Quantico, since they can do this better and faster than anyone, and they even have a pipeline to flip it immediately to inferring identity with us.’

A federal law enforcement source said the evidence will likely need to be retested by the FBI regardless.

‘It’s just the FBI developed this method and can do it so much better without destroying the evidence,’ the source said.

‘Also, they’re not as fast, and in this case, time matters.’

Nanos defended the move, saying sending evidence to one lab avoids delays and conflicts.

‘It’s just that simple,’ he said.

Sheriff’s positive prediction as Nancy Guthrie investigation nears second week

Chris Nanos, the sheriff recently involved in the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, made an optimistic remark on finding the missing 84-year-old.

As the search for Guthrie approaches its second week, Pima County Sheriff Nanos made an uplifting statement to the grieving Tucson, Arizona, community.

‘I believe she will be found,’ Nanos told CNN on Friday. ‘I believe we are working as hard as we can to do that as fast as we can.’

Authorities bolstered the community who are desperately in search of answers by stating that their search is far from over, the outlet reported.

Over 30,000 tips from the public have reached investigators, with each being reviewed and investigated with great consideration.

Evidence, including DNA and gloves discovered miles from her home, were recently sent for analysis, as a third ransom note surfaced.

Bungling sheriff in Nancy Guthrie investigation claims ‘quite a number’ of gloves found during search

Chris Nanos, the Pima County Sheriff who has reportedly been dismissed from the ongoing search for Nancy Guthrie, has claimed that ‘quite a number’ of gloves were discovered miles from the missing 84-year-old’s home.

Guthrie mysteriously vanished from her $1 million Tucson, Arizona, home in the early hours of February 1.

As the investigation into her disappearance inches toward the two-week mark, two gloves were discovered miles from her home.

Following a tip, investigators discovered one glove two miles from Guthrie’s home, Nanos told CNN.

The second glove was discovered ten miles away. Both were sent for DNA analysis along with other DNA evidence found at Guthrie’s home, the outlet reported.

Nanos told the outlet that the glove was discovered by a search team the other day as he debunked false whispers of the glove being found inside the property she was taken from.

‘Today we’ve gone out five, ten miles, because we found a glove. Everybody’s finding gloves. We’ve had gloves ten miles out. I can’t dismiss that,’ he said.

‘We don’t even know the true value of these gloves.’

Nanos denied that any gloves were discovered inside of Guthrie’s home following reports that he had blocked DNA testing by the FBI.

‘There’s never been a glove found at that home, in that home or around that home,’ he told the CNN.
