Prophet Jimmy Alla-Mensah, founder and leader of House of Divine Glory Ministry International in Rockville, Maryland, has called on Ghanaians to intensify prayers for the nation and its leaders following the road accident involving Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu and Deputy Communications Minister Mohammed Adams Sukparu.

In a statement released on Thursday February 12, 2026, the US-based cleric described the ministers’ survival as an act of divine mercy and a reminder of the power of intercessory prayer.

He referenced what he said was a spiritual revelation he received on December 17, 2025, about a “Black Thursday” involving top government officials.

“To God be the glory – the word remains true,” Prophet Jimmy Alla-Mensah stated, linking the February 12 accident to that earlier warning.

While acknowledging the gravity of the incident, he expressed gratitude that both ministers survived the crash and are reported to be in stable condition after receiving medical attention.

“While we thank God for the preservation of life in this instance, we acknowledge that the Lord reveals and when intercessory prayers are engaged, He redeems,” he said.

The cleric emphasised that the development should not provoke fear but rather reinforce the need for sustained spiritual vigilance and national intercession.

“We continue to stand in the gap for Ghana and its leaders. The Watchman does not sleep,” he added, stressing the importance of prayer for national stability and divine protection over those entrusted with governance.

The accident reportedly occurred on Thursday, February 12, along the Bolgatanga–Tumu stretch while the ministers were travelling for official engagements in the Upper West Region.

Their convoy was involved in a crash that left some occupants injured. Government sources and officials later confirmed that both ministers were in stable condition and receiving medical care, with no life-threatening injuries reported.

Authorities have since expressed gratitude to emergency responders and health personnel for their swift intervention and have assured the public that the situation is under control.
