Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School (OKESS) defeated Opoku Ware SHS (Owass) in the men’s 1000m medley event at the ongoing Ashanti Region Inter-Schools Festival.

    The 1000m medley featured 100m × 200m × 300m × 400m in Zone 3 of the qualifiers.

OKESS started strongly in the opening stages, with their athlete handing over the baton to a teammate who maintained the same pace to keep the momentum going.

As the race progressed, Owass athletes picked up speed and began to challenge OKESS closely, while the other schools fell behind. Intense baton exchanges and the roaring crowd made the contest even more thrilling.

OKESS eventually emerged as the overall Super Zonals champions with 122 points, while Owass placed second, followed by other schools.
