Haruna Iddrisu is the Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Tamale South
The Office of the Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, has dismissed as false a set of promotional posters circulating on social media that suggest he intends to contest for the flagbearership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the Minister’s office clarified that the posters did not originate from Hon. Iddrisu or any official channel associated with him.
The statement urged members of the public to disregard the materials, describing them as unauthorised and misleading.
According to the statement, Hon. Iddrisu remains focused on his current responsibilities as Minister for Education and as the elected representative for Tamale South.
It added that he is presently in Lusaka, Zambia, where he is accompanying President John Dramani Mahama on official engagements.
The Minister is said to be working with the President to advance the government’s “Reset Ghana” agenda, with particular emphasis on reforms and initiatives within the education sector, which falls under his ministerial portfolio.
The Office of the Minister expressed appreciation to the public for their continued support and cooperation and reiterated its commitment to transparent communication on matters concerning Hon. Iddrisu’s public duties.
