President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has challenged the Black Princesses to secure qualification for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, declaring that Ghana must remain a constant presence on the global stage.

Okraku delivered the rallying message during a visit to the team’s training session ahead of Sunday’s crucial third-round first-leg qualifier against South Africa at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Drawing attention to their preparations, he urged the players to replicate their training intensity when match day arrives.

“The pitch you’ll be playing on Sunday is the same one you’re standing on. It won’t be a different one. What that means is that whatever you’re doing here, just carry it on to the D-Day, which is Sunday.

“Play with confidence and belief, because we have to go to the World Cup.”

The Princesses advanced after defeating Tunisia 4-0 on aggregate and now face South Africa in a decisive two-legged qualifier for tournament qualification this year.
