Guinness World Records holder Yaa Padiki (Sharon Dede Padi Padiki), has welcomed the recent drop in dollar prices, saying it brings hope to Ghana’s creative industry.

Speaking on Multicdb’s She Circle Show, she explained that the high dollar rate directly affects the cost of art materials like paint, making it difficult for many artists to work.

According to her, the current improvement is a positive step toward making art more affordable and accessible.

“When the dollar looks better, the prices of paint and materials will come down, and anyone who wants to paint can afford it,” she said.

Yaa Padiki who doubles as Padiki Art Gallery CEO, also called on government to strengthen support for the creative arts by creating more galleries, exhibitions and platforms to promote Ghanaian art locally and internationally.

She further encouraged young people especially women to stay authentic, pursue what they love, and never give up on their dreams.

Her message highlights the power of resilience, passion and support in shaping the future of Ghana’s creative industry.
