Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Weija–Gbawe Constituency on Saturday queued at the New Gbawe Cluster of Schools at Mallam to cast their votes in the party’s flagbearer election.

The exercise, which forms part of the NPP’s nationwide internal elections, recorded a high level of enthusiasm among delegates, many of whom expressed excitement about participating in what they described as a crucial decision-making process for the party.

Security personnel were deployed at the polling centre to maintain law and order and ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise. Party officials were also present to supervise the process and address any challenges that might arise.

As of the time of filing this report, voting was progressing peacefully, with officials expressing confidence that the election would be conducted successfully and transparently.
