Wode Maya led IShowSpeed through his tour in Ghana Wode Maya led IShowSpeed through his tour in Ghana

As part of IShowSpeed’s Africa tour, he visited Ghana on January 26, 2026, to experience the country’s culture, tourism, among others.

The American streamer began his visit at the Asenema Waterfalls in Akropong, Eastern Region, where Ghanaian YouTuber Wode Maya led him through the tour.

IShowSpeed later moved from Akropong to Accra in a helicopter to continue the stream, but Wode Maya disclosed that he deliberately refused to join the chopper that transported the streamer.

In an interview with Sammykay Media on January 29, 2026, Wode Maya explained that he rather chose to return from Akropong to Accra in a car convoy.

Wode Maya explained: “You just saw what happened in Ghana,” believed to be a reference to the August 6, 2025, helicopter crash.

He added, “Everything you saw at the palace was a success. I didn’t want to be in a chopper so I took a car to Accra. You saw what happened in Ghana. Personal preference, I just wanted to be on the road.”

IShowSpeed’s Africa tour commenced on December 29, 2025, and included stops in multiple countries such as Morocco, Egypt, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Benin, Angola, Zambia, Eswatini, and Senegal.

On January 26, 2026, he arrived in Ghana from Benin and enjoyed a memorable five-hour stream, which included visit to Akropong, the Black Star Square, the Bukom Boxing Arena, the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, and a massage treatment at the Shea Butter Museum.
