One of the world’s biggest content creators, IShowSpeed, drew large crowds, mostly made up of his young fans, when he embarked on a 20-nation tour of Africa.

The tour was designed to allow Speed to sightsee, learn about African history, explore daily life, culture, and food, play sports, attempt high-risk stunts, meet fans, and fully experience each destination he visits.

To wrap up his tour and saving the best for last, the 21-year-old American streamer went live in Ghana on January 26, 2026, with a series of activities lined up at various national landmarks.

Below are some fan-loved moments from IShowSpeed’s visit to Ghana:

    1. Naming ceremony in Akropong

Speed was welcomed with a traditional Akan naming ceremony in the Eastern Region of Ghana, Akropong to be precise.

The event saw the streamer immersed in ancient customs before receiving the local name ‘Barima Kofi Akuffo’.

After being conferred with the name, Speed appeared thrilled. While traveling from Akropong to Independence Square, he repeatedly mentioned the name and asked those around him to remind him what it was.

    2. Massage at Asenema Waterfall

YouTuber Wode Maya, who began the stream with Speed, ensured that the streamer started his day with a massage at Asenema Waterfall in Akropong.

Speed was excited as young Ghanaian women massaged him while he praised the country’s hospitality.

Speed surprised viewers by performing a backflip next to the famous Black Star Monument at Independence Square.

Known for his adventurous streak on livestream, he successfully pulled off the move before celebrating with his signature “SIUUU” chant.

The Black Star Monument is a tall structure symbolizing Ghana’s independence, and a single misstep during the stunt could have led to serious injury.

    4. Boxing experience in Bukom

Speed later met Ghanaian boxer Bukom Banku, who performed some songs for him.

Their light sparring, dancing and jokes entertained fans and quickly became a favorite part of the livestream.

    5. Meeting Kwame Nkrumah’s daughter

As part of Ghana’s historical education segment, Speed visited the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Mausoleum to learn about Ghana’s journey to independence and the life of its first Prime Minister.

During the tour, Kwame Nkrumah’s daughter, Samia Nkrumah, and her son Kwame Thomas Melega, met the streamer at the park.

    6. Speed tries Ghana jollof

With the long-running Ghana-Nigeria rivalry over jollof rice, this was one of the most anticipated moments. After previously tasting Nigerian jollof, fans were eager to hear his verdict on Ghana’s version.

Speed was seen enjoying a large bowl of Ghanaian jollof prepared by top chefs. In a humorous moment, he declared a tie between both countries after playfully backflipping into a big pot of jollof.

    8. Massage at Shea butter museum

To close the stream, Speed was taken to West Africa’s biggest private shea butter museum, located in Ghana and home to the largest variety of shea butter products in the sub-region.

The streamer was introduced to the museum’s offerings by Ghanaian attendants. Owned by Hamamat, a former beauty queen, the museum stocks 21 variants sourced from across Africa.

During the visit, Speed received a massage from ten women at once, which became a talking point online.
