Unbeaten hard-punching southpaw, formerly two-time national amateur champ Ren Ohashi (5-0, 5 KOs; amateur 38-17, 15 KO/RSC), 125.75, collected another KO victim when he exploded a vaunted left hand, badly dropping China’s Sailibieke Tuohatasen (6-2, 3 KOs), 125.75, to prompt the referee’s immediate halt at 1:26 of the fourth round in a scheduled eight on Friday in Tokyo, Japan. JBC#15 Ohashi, no relation with his manager Hideyuki Ohashi, had a tough time with the taller Chinese’s aggressiveness in the outset, but scored an eye-catching left counter that decked him with a thud to stun the audience. Ren’s power punching will be worth watching in the future.

Also unbeaten bantam prospect Hijiri Oka (3-0, 2 KOs), 117.75, defeated OPBF#5 Filipino RV Denega (12-3, 8 KOs), 117.75, by a unanimous decision (78-74, 79-73 twice) over eight hard-fought rounds. Busy-punching Oka outhustled the durable Filipino with faster combinations upstairs and downstairs in the second half.

    Promoter: Ohashi Promotions.
