A Sydney woman has slammed Australia’s leaders as ‘incompetent cowards’ after a NSW man allegedly killed his heavily pregnant ex-girlfriend while he was out on bail over charges he’d assaulted her.
Sophie Quinn, 25 and two others were allegedly gunned down at Lake Cargelligo in Central West NSW on Thursday by Julian Ingram who remains on the run.
Recovery coach and speaker Mia Findlay said in a one-and-a-half minute video that has gone viral online that it was ‘another day of avoidable tragedy’ and that Australia was fed up.
‘Misogony is an ideology and it is well and truly alive in this country and it is ignored by our leaders,’ Ms Findlay said.
‘Where are our hate crime laws? Where is our day of mourning and remembrance for the 77 women killed last year? For the 101 women killed in 2024, all on your incompetent watches.
‘Hate crimes are perpetuated against women every day. We are murdered, we are raped, assaulted, and stalked and you do nothing about it.
‘Do your jobs you incompetent cowards!’
The video was released after it was revealed Ingram, 37, was out on bail over allegations he had stalked, intimidated and assaulted Ms Quinn and damaged her property.
Court records, obtained by the Daily Mail, show he pleaded not guilty.

On December 3, police took out an interim Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (AVO) against Ingram on behalf of Quinn.
The order was due to be reviewed in court on February 3.
‘Of course he was, they always are!’ Ms Findlay said, she then referenced a series of cases of Australian women who have been killed by their partners, or former partners, who were out on bail while accused of serious domestic violence offences.
Among the cases Ms Findlay spoke about was the 2024 death of Molly Ticehurst, who was killed by her former partner Daniel Billings, and the 2012 murder of Jill Meagher who was attacked by serial rapist Adrian Bayley.
She also referenced Lindt Siege terrorist Man Monis, who, at the time of attack, was on bail for allegedly being an accessory to the murder of his ex-wife, and more than 40 charges of sexual and indecent assault.
‘What is the common denominator here?’ Ms Findlay posed.
‘Not only that its men, but also that our leaders are totally ill-equipped to prevent these kinds of crimes…
‘Then these men receive these message that no one is going to do s**t to stop them.’

The video received thousands of comments with many people supporting Ms Findlay’s impassioned plea.
‘Thank you for using your powerful voice to elevate the inequity women face,’ one person said, while another commented, ‘Can you please run for parliament. We need people like you.’
Another added: ‘You’d think someone would make the connection by now! Stop letting these grubs out on bail!’
Ingram, who remains on the run, stands accused of killing Ms Quinn alongside her new boyfriend John Harris, 32, before killing her aunt, Nerida Quinn, 50, and seriously injuring Nerida’s 19‑year‑old neighbour, Kaleb MacQueen.
It’s believed Ingram was sighted in Mount Hope at around midnight on Saturday with the same car he is alleged to have fled in.
NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Andrew Holland said police are currently searching multiple properties in the area.
One local claimed to have seen Ingram near the Mount Hope Cemetery.
The Daily Mail has contacted NSW Police for comment.
