Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Salma Mumin has expressed frustration over how some social media users have repeatedly criticised her body after she allegedly underwent a body enhancement procedure.

In a post shared on Instagram and sighted by GhanaWeb on January 23, 2026, Salma Mumin urged individuals who habitually attack her on social media to refrain from doing so.

She explained that such comments are harmful and can negatively affect an individual’s mental, emotional, and psychological well-being.

“The constant commentary about my body has gone too far. Words are not harmless. Words have the power to affect a person mentally, emotionally, and psychologically in ways many people underestimate,” she said.

The actress further noted that having a body enhancement was a personal choice, making the harsh comments about her character on social media completely unwarranted.

According to her, she doesn’t require public approval or validation, and such individuals should allow her to live her life as she sees fit.

“I made a personal decision about my body. I changed how I looked because I wanted to, because I did not like how I looked before. I did it for me. Not for public approval. Not for opinions. Not to meet anyone’s preference.

Whether my BBL is obvious or not, whether it fits what you would have chosen for yourself or not, it is what I wanted. And that should be enough,” she added.
