Here is a breakdown of the suit

    Involvement in fraud

According to the suit, on Monday, 15th December 2025, Blakk Rasta, in his video titled “Shatta Wale, Self Confessed King of Fraud,” shared on social media, accused Shatta Wale of being associated with fraud and “knows all of the ‘fraud boys’ in Ghana.”

“He is also a fraudster, king of ‘Sakawa’and fraud, and you cannot take that from him as well”.

“He knows all the fraud boys in Ghana and outside Ghana. The Hausas have a saying that I like, ‘Aboki barawo shima barawo ne’, the friend of a thief is also a thief”.

“A dirty thief like this, and he comes with money as all the fraudsters do, pack them up, jumping around showing people, meanwhile he will go to the youth and tell them work hard, meanwhile he himself is a fraud boy, thief,” Blakk Rasta was quoted as saying in the lawsuit.

    Association with accussed suspected fraudsters

According to the suit, Blakk Rasta had accused Shatta Wale of being associated with some Ghanaian individuals who were arrested by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for fraud-related activities.

“The Plaintiff repeats the averments contained in the immediately preceding paragraph and states that the Defendant proceeded to claim that people such as ‘Hajia4Real’, ‘Dada Joe aka remix’, ‘Kofi Boat’ and ‘Abu Trica’, who are alleged to be fraudsters, are friends with the Plaintiff. The Plaintiff states that the Defendant called the Plaintiff a thief and a fraudster by virtue of his alleged association with the named individuals.

“The Plaintiff repeats the averments contained in the immediately preceding paragraph and states that the Defendant stated in the video that the Plaintiff allows monies stolen by fraudsters to pass through his bank accounts,” the lawsuit stated.

    Interpretations of Blakk Rasta’s comments

According to the lawsuit, the comments by Blakk Rasta could be interpreted by the public to mean that Shatta Wale was dishonest, deceitful, opportunistic, untrustworthy and a morally reprehensible person.

    Widespread reach

Shatta Wale, in the suit, claimed that the video itself had spread widely across social media and the public, reaching over 150,000 views, 1000 comments and 6000 likes.

    Reputational damage and anxiety

According to the suit, Shatta Wale claimed that Blakk Rasta’s comments have “caused great anxiety amongst his family, fan base, business partners and fellow musicians.”

The suit also stated that Blakk Rasta’s comments have brought “reputational damage” to Shatta Wale and have also “greatly brought him into ill repute and ridicule in society.”

    What Shatta Wale wants

The artiste, according to the lawsuit, wants a permanent removal of the video from all social media platforms, a public retraction and apology by Blakk Rasta on all social media pages, and publication in the Daily Graphic, Ghanaian Times and Graphic ShowBiz newspapers.

Lastly, Shatta Wale wants an amount to the tune of One Hundred Million Ghana cedis (GH¢100,000,000) as well as legal costs.
