League leaders Medeama SC extended their advantage at the top of the Ghana Premier League with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Vision FC on Saturday at the Nii Adjei Kraku Stadium.

Salim Adams was the standout performer, scoring twice from powerful second-half free-kicks, including a dramatic winner deep into stoppage time. His 94th-minute strike sealed all three points and kept Medeama clear at the summit with a healthy seven-point lead.

Vision FC had taken the lead in the first half through Faruk Mohammed, who finished confidently after a positive start from the hosts. Medeama responded with patience and control, gradually increasing the pressure before Adams’ set-piece quality turned the game on its head.

Despite enjoying only 42 per cent of possession, Medeama were ruthless when opportunities arose. The visitors registered two shots on target and converted both, highlighting a clinical display. Vision, who saw more of the ball and managed five total shots, were unable to make their chances count.

The victory extends Medeama’s winning run to three matches and strengthens their grip on the title race. Vision FC, meanwhile, are now winless in two games and remain 12th on the table as they look to regain momentum in the coming fixtures.
