The Conference of Presiding Members in the Volta Region has congratulated Togbe Afede XIV on his appointment to the Presidential Advisory Group on the Economy, describing the nomination as a recognition of his exemplary leadership and contribution to national development.

In a press statement issued by the Volta Regional Executive of the Conference, the Dean of Presiding Members, Mawunyo Agbe, said the nomination, announced on January 15, 2026, reflects the confidence reposed in the Agbogbomefia of Asogli State to contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s economic direction.

“This prestigious nomination is a well-deserved recognition of your distinguished leadership, proven business acumen, and unwavering commitment to Ghana’s socio-economic development,” Agbe stated.

According to him, Togbe Afede XIV’s extensive experience in enterprise, governance and traditional leadership places him in a strategic position to add value to national economic policy formulation and transformation efforts.

“Your depth of experience places you in a unique position to contribute meaningfully to our national economic policy and transformation,” the statement noted.

The Conference expressed confidence that the traditional ruler would execute his new mandate with distinction, bringing honour to the Volta Region, the chieftaincy institution and the country as a whole.

“We are confident that you will discharge this national responsibility with wisdom, integrity and excellence,” Agbe said.

The Presiding Members also extended prayers and best wishes to Togbe Afede XIV, calling for divine guidance and strength as he assumes the role.

“May the Almighty God grant you strength, clarity of vision and success in service to our dear country,” the statement concluded.

Togbe Afede XIV, a respected traditional leader and accomplished entrepreneur, has over the years played prominent roles in national and regional development initiatives, earning widespread respect across political, business and traditional leadership circles.
