Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku on Thursday evening took time out from his official duties at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco to engage with Ghanaian media professionals covering the continental tournament.

Okraku, who also serves as second vice-president of the Confederation of African Football, met the journalists at the Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr.

The interaction provided an informal setting for discussion, reflection, and exchange of views on the competition and wider football-related matters.

Okraku shared light moments with the media, reflecting on past experiences while discussing developments at the tournament.

The engagement reinforced the importance of collaboration between football administrators and the media in promoting the game and shaping informed public discourse.

Those present included prominent journalists and broadcasters such as CAF Media Relations Manager Juliet Bawuah, George Addo Jr, Gary Al-Smith, Fentuo Tahiru, Philip Sitsofe Atsrim, Bill Eshun, Michael Asare Boadu, Jon Boafo, Selwyn Sackey, Yvonne Worwornyo Woyome, Janet Nana Akua Amankwaa Quaye, Akosua Adjei,  Yaw Ofosu Larbi, and Enoch Fiifi Forson, among others.

The gathering also featured internationally recognised YouTuber Wode Maya and popular digital content creator Gh Hyper, as well as photojournalist Clifford Owusu Peprah and Samuello, reflecting the growing role of digital media in football coverage.

Okraku is in Morocco not only for the Africa Cup of Nations but also to participate in high-level CAF meetings, where key issues affecting African football are expected to be discussed.
