In 2012, the compound’s Big House, was donated to the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate.
John F. Kennedy purchased one of the famed compound’s many properties in 1965 with intention to expand the existing family estate. The 155 Irving Avenue property later became known as the ‘President’s House,’ and the ‘Summer White House’ during his presidency.
