Founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel, Nigel Gaisie, has been ‘dragged’ by netizens online over a prophecy he made about the 2025 Detty December celebrations
In a video earlier shared by Hitz FM on X, the prophet emphatically stated that the Lord had revealed to him that between November 16, 2025, and January 7, 2026, a major catastrophe would strike the Ghanaian entertainment industry, particularly affecting events.
“The hand of the Lord picked me, and I saw in the realm of the supernatural that they have plotted, especially for the entertainment industry of the Republic of Ghana. This is what I saw a prophet of God, I saw that a majority of Ghanaians were at an event center then all of a sudden, I saw something like fire, something disorderly and something chaotic, suddenly I saw hundreds and thousands dying,” he said.
However, following the successful completion of all December festivities, many Ghanaians have angrily called for the prophet’s arrest, arguing that his prophecy created fear and panic among individuals who wished to attend these entertainment events.
“He should be arrested and charged for misinformation leading to fear and panic,” a netizen said.
Another stated, “If you speak up, they’ll say ‘God reveals to redeem,’ and they are using that as the basis to cause fear and panic. That was the reason Ebo Noah was arrested, so why is this one free? Someone even refused to buy tickets because he might have seen this video.”
“At least morally and socially. If religious leaders publicly predict doom and it doesn’t happen, they owe the public accountability, clarity, or humility. Prophecy without responsibility quickly becomes fear-mongering, not faith.” Another commented.
