    Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay is making waves on the continental stage, adding another accolade to her career as she wins ‘Best Female Artiste in Western Africa’ with “Too Late” at the All-Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2026.

    The event, which took place in Lagos, Nigeria, was a five-day affair, featuring business summits and the awards night as a climax

    Amongst many capable contenders in the category were the likes of Tiwa Savage, Moliy, Ayra Star, Amaarae and others.

    Wendy Shay emerged as the winner and it was an exciting development, particularly the moment she received her award.

    Reacting to the honour, she expressed gratitude to fans, her team and the organizers for recognizing her efforts in the industry.

    “I want to say thank you to my Lord and Saviour, I want to say thank you to my fans, the Shay Gang,I want to say thank you to my partners. And I want to say thank you to my baby, Tracy Shay for dancing to too late, it went viral because of her.” She said, acknowledging Tracy Shay for her efforts in promoting the song.
