President John Dramani Mahama on Sunday, January 11, 2025, departed Accra for the United Kingdom to hold meetings with Coordinators of the Accra Reset Initiative.

A statement issued by the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, said the visit forms part of efforts to deepen engagement with key stakeholders involved in the initiative, which is aimed at advancing Ghana’s economic and governance reforms.

According to the statement, President Mahama will subsequently travel to Davos, Switzerland, where he is expected to participate in a session of the World Economic Forum. The forum brings together global political, business, and thought leaders to discuss pressing international economic and development issues.

While in Davos, the President is also scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with world leaders and other key international partners on the sidelines of the forum. These engagements, the statement noted, are intended to strengthen Ghana’s international partnerships and advance critical aspects of the country’s development agenda.

The President is expected to return to the country after the conclusion of his official engagements.
