Nigerian actress Regina Daniels has undergone a drug test following months of public allegations concerning substance abuse.

The actress shared a video on Instagram showing her at a hospital, announcing her decision to take the test. “Hi guys, so I’m here at the hospital, I’m about to run my drug test,” she said in the video.

The development comes nearly three months after her husband, politician Senator Ned Nwoko, accused her of substance abuse amid their highly publicised marital dispute. In October 2025, Regina Daniels had publicly accused Nwoko of domestic violence and abuse, allegations he denied. In response, Nwoko claimed the actress abused drugs and stated that he was in possession of her medical records.

The controversy deepened when Regina’s co-wife, Laila Charani, also weighed in, alleging that the actress had introduced her to drugs during the course of their relationship.

Further fuelling public debate, a document circulating online and purportedly from Serenity Royale Hospital alleged that Regina Daniels had toxic levels of marijuana, morphine, opiates, cocaine, and alcohol in her system.

However, Serenity Royale Hospital denied any involvement in the release of the document. In a statement, the hospital said, “We wish to state clearly that the publication containing classified information of Mrs Nwoko Regina did not emanate from us and respectfully request the public to disregard same.”

Regina Daniels’ decision to submit to a drug test is widely seen as an attempt to address the allegations and clarify her position amid the ongoing public scrutiny surrounding her marriage.
