Award-winning Ghanaian musician, Stonebwoy, has revealed a lesser-known side of his entrepreneurial journey, disclosing that he co-owns and operates a rice company in Ghana with his wife, Dr. Louisa Satekla.

The agribusiness venture, known as LILO Rice, derives its name from a combination of the first two letters of the couple’s names—Livingstone and Louisa—highlighting the family-oriented and personal nature of the brand.

Although the company has been operating quietly for some time, it gained public attention through social media promotions, particularly in 2022, when Stonebwoy showcased LILO Long Grain Perfume Rice.

At the time, the multiple award-winning musician described the product as “homegrown and packaged right here in Ghana,” stressing its freshness, quality, and traceability “from the farm to your plate.”

The promotional campaign featured Stonebwoy’s wife and daughter in a light-hearted commercial, reinforcing the brand’s family-friendly image and local appeal.

Stonebwoy’s entry into agribusiness adds to his expanding portfolio beyond music. Over the years, the Afro-dancehall and reggae star has diversified into fashion, philanthropy, and social impact initiatives, using his influence to support local industries and community development.

In a recent demonstration of social responsibility, Stonebwoy’s Livingstone Foundation included packs of LILO Rice in care packages donated to a talented autistic child. The package also contained bottled water and personal care items, reflecting the foundation’s commitment to inclusion and support for vulnerable groups.
