Fight week has arrived. Ronson Frank’s Uprising Promotions officially returns to New York City this Friday, January 9th, with Frozen Fury delivering a high-energy night of boxing at the iconic Léman Ballroom in Lower Manhattan. The event once again partners with Bigvision Community, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting young adults in recovery from substance abuse.
“Fight week is here, and we look forward to hosting another entertaining show at the Léman Ballroom,” said Ronson Frank, President of Uprising Promotions. “Frozen Fury is built around high-quality matchups and an atmosphere that makes fight night in New York so special. We are excited to bring another great night of boxing to the city.”
Presented by Uprising Promotions in association with Bigvision Community and HIIT the Deck Boxing Gym, Frozen Fury will feature local amateur fighters eager to make their mark on the city stage. Tickets start at $75 for general admission, with ringside seats, VIP seating and a limited number of VIP tables available. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the first bell at 7:00 PM.
“What makes this show even more special is the reason behind it,” Frank added. “Partnering again with Bigvision Community allows us to use this platform for something that lasts longer than one night. These fights matter, but the impact we are making together in the community matters even more.”
In addition to Bigvision Community and HIIT the Deck Boxing Gym, Frozen Fury is supported by Bua Boxing, Champs Boxing Club, Gleason’s Gym, Gotham Gym, Hudson Boxing Gym and The Last Round NYC. The event is also sponsored by Doho, Dude Wipes, Gameplan Skincare, Hendrick’s Gin, Once Upon A Coconut, Paper Planes Apparel and Staccato Bakery.
Located at 41 Broad Street, the Léman Ballroom also hosted Uprising Promotions’ most recent event, which was headlined by former NBA Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams in his successful amateur boxing debut.
Founded in 2013 by former professional fighter Ronson Frank, who retired undefeated as a light heavyweight in 2014 after a 17-fight career, Uprising Promotions has built a decade-long legacy of sold-out New York City events, along with co-promotions across the nation and internationally. The company’s broadcast résumé includes collaborations with major networks such as Showtime, as well as independently produced international pay-per-view events in both the United States and Jamaica. With fight night just days away, Frozen Fury promises another electric chapter in Uprising Promotions’ growing history.
