How did you fare against our expert in Daily Mail Sport’s unrivalled Predictor challenge in gameweek 18 of the Premier League?

The weekend started with a bang as Aston Villa re-established their title-chasing credentials with a routine 3-1 thumping of Nottingham Forest at Villa Park.

Everton and Brentford treated neutrals to a six-goal thriller, with Keith Andrews’ visitors getting the better of their hosts in the 4-2 contest.

More excitement came in the form of late goals in two stalemates on Sunday, as Tottenham were caught by visiting Sunderland, and Liverpool saw all three points snatched from them at Fulham‘s Craven Cottage.

Arsenal tightened their grip on their growing claim to the Premier League title, as Mikel Arteta’s men escaped a tricky meeting with Bournemouth thanks to a brace from Declan Rice.

    EXPERT PREDICTIONS

Predictor review: Find out how our experts fared in gameweek 18 with £1,000 up for grabs each week

Nathan Salt is the Daily Mail Sport expert to beat this week

Aston Villa v Nottingham Forest – HOME WIN – 1 pt

    AFC Bournemouth v Arsenal – DRAW – 0pt

Leeds United v Manchester United – AWAY WIN – 0pt

    Everton v Brentford – HOME WIN – 0pt

    Fulham v Liverpool – DRAW – 1pt

    Tottenham v Sunderland – AWAY WIN – 0pt

    Manchester City v Chelsea – HOME WIN – 0pt

    TOTAL – 2 POINTS

Their closest rivals in the race – Manchester City – were unable to keep pace, blinking first in the stand-off at the top of the table as Pep Guardiola’s experienced champions were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Chelsea, led by caretaker manager Calum McFarlane overseeing his first-ever Premier League tie.

Ruben Amorim’s last match in charge of Manchester United finished via the same scoreline at Leeds – although the contest was far overshadowed by his explosive press conference at full-time.

How many of those did you get? Our nominated expert of the week, Nathan Salt, was thwarted by footballing fate, receiving two points.

But Nathan was only one point off the highest scoring expert, James Sharpe, who reclaimed the top spot from Jack Gaughan, and Tom Collomosse.

Craig Hope, Lewis Steele, and Jack all scored two points, with Keiran Gill scoring no points one week on from claiming four.

Across the country, no one managed to guess all seven, thanks to a fiendish unpredictable round of results, although 52 players managed six.

Think you could improve on it? Come along and test your football brains. Predictor returns this coming weekend.

As ever, there is £1,000 up for grabs and you can play Predictor throughout the 2025-26 Premier League season. Just go to: dailymail.co.uk/predictor.
