Media personality Roselyn Felli has heaped praise on Ghanaian musician Wendy Shay, describing 2025 as one of the best years of the singer’s career and commending her resilience in the music industry.

Speaking on a show on Joy Prime on December 31, 2025, Roselyn stated that Wendy Shay stood out among female secular artistes in the year under review, proving her consistency and staying power, despite early criticisms.

“Truthfully, Wendy Shay has outdone herself in 2025. That girl stood tall among all the female secular artistes we’ve had this year. She’s proven herself that she is here to stay,” she said.

Roselyn recalled the challenges Wendy Shay faced when she first entered the music scene, including comparisons with the late Ebony Reigns and intense backlash from critics and social media users.

“I remember when she came on the scene, people felt she was going to fade off. The comparison between herself and Ebony, the backlash and trolls, she still stood tall,” she noted.

According to her, Wendy Shay’s perseverance and hard work have paid off, making 2025 a standout year in the artiste’s career.

“This year has been one of her best years ever. I will be happy to see her win Artiste of the Year even though it’s going to be tough,” she shared.

She further pledged her support for the singer, saying she would actively campaign for Wendy Shay because of the inspiration she has given to women.

“I will campaign for her any day and anytime. I will do that because I think she’s made women proud, she hasn’t given up and that’s the spirit that we want to see and she’s worked hard,” Roselyn added.
