Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has chosen Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo as he shared his thoughts on the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) debate, spanning over two decades.

While acknowledging Ronaldo’s achievements in the game, the in-form AFC Bournemouth attacker firmly placed the former Barcelona star ahead of the Portuguese superstar.

The debate as to who is the best player in history continues unabated, with Messi securing eight Ballon d’Or while the Portuguese star has five to his name.

Both Messi and Ronaldo have chalked numerous successes for their clubs and countries respectively. While Messi has the FIFA World Cup title, Ronaldo has yet to guide Portugal to the global showpiece glory.

And according to Semenyo, Messi is by a hundred percent ahead of the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus star.

“Messi by a hundred percent. I’ll never downplay what Ronaldo has achieved but for me personally, I’m a Messi fan, ” he said.

Semenyo has been outstanding for Bournemouth thus season racking up eight goals in the Premier League and providing three assists across the period.
