Victims of Jeffrey Epstein on Thursday demanded that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor be prosecuted ahead of the release of a million more files about the paedophile.

Marina Lacerda, who was 14 when she was abused by Epstein, said the former Duke of York would have been arrested by now ‘if he were a regular guy’.

Among a batch of documents released earlier this week by the US Department of Justice (DoJ) was an email apparently from Andrew asking Ghislaine Maxwell to find him ‘some new inappropriate friends’.

A second email from Epstein’s accomplice asked a friend in Peru to arrange some ‘2 legged sight seeing’ with girls that are ‘intelligent, pretty, fun and from good families’ for a friend named ‘Andrew’.

One of the two email addresses that Maxwell used to message ‘Andrew’ was listed in Epstein’s black book under ‘Duke of York’.

Ms Lacerda, 37, said: ‘They are sweeping this under the rug. Why is the British Government continuing to protect this man who we know is a predator? The justice system is failing us and I worry he is going to get away with it.’

Maria Farmer, who was assaulted in 1996 by Epstein and Maxwell, said: ‘They need to set a precedent, especially with the next generation of the Royal Family coming through. This is an embarrassment… He should be charged.’ Andrew, who was stripped of his prince title in November, has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

He was friends with Epstein for at least 20 years before his death in 2019, but claims he was unaware of his crimes.

Andrew settled a US civil sexual assault case with Virginia Giuffre out of court in 2022, agreeing to pay her a reported £12million.

Ms Giuffre, who took her own life in April, had accused Andrew of sexually assaulting her three times when she was 17. Andrew has said he does not recall ever meeting her.

Meanwhile, US authorities revealed on Wednesday that more than a million more files potentially related to Epstein had been discovered by the FBI and federal prosecutors.

The DoJ said it could take ‘a few more weeks’ before all the documents are released.
