Seth Gyimah, popularly known as Freezy Macbones, has spoken publicly for the first time since losing the WBA Africa light heavyweight title to Jonathan Tetteh on Saturday, December 20, 2025, insisting the result did not reflect what truly happened in the ring.

Speaking in an interview on Onua TV, Macbones admitted defeat on the scorecards but maintained that he physically dominated Tetteh during their heated Legacy Rise showdown at the University of Ghana Stadium.

According to him, the fight was decided by expectations rather than impact.

“In the fight, if you couldn’t knock him out or do more than what people expect from you, it’s definitely not going to go your way. I’m not using that as an excuse. I went there, and I did what I did. I knew I was going to beat him, and I did that,” he said.

Macbones went further to make a startling claim about the aftermath of the bout, alleging that Tetteh was left struggling to walk after the contest, suggesting his punches took a heavy toll despite the judges’ verdict.

“He couldn’t walk after the game; they had to hold him before he could walk,” he stated.

While Jonathan Tetteh walked away with the belt, Macbones insists the rivalry is far from over.

“I was happy I beat him. He can take the belt, but I want to show him there’s levels to this,” he added.
