Clean Second Sample VADA Results! » December 22, 2025

Universal Promotions, promoter of former two-time world champion Erika “Dinamita” Cruz, clarifies to the public that the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) has confirmed that the most recent sample analyzed yielded a negative result, fully exonerating the athlete from any use of prohibited substances.

It is crucial to clarify that VADA’s initial finding was categorized as atypical and never as a positive result. At no point did VADA report the presence of a prohibited substance or an anti-doping rule violation. Even so, false and speculative statements were disseminated and irresponsibly amplified in print and television media.

Based on these incorrect claims, and without allowing the VADA process to conclude, the fight was unilaterally canceled by MVP, to the detriment of the athlete’s due process and causing serious and unjustified damage to the reputation of Erika Cruz and Universal Promotions.

Professional boxing cannot and should not be held hostage by speculation, leaks, or media judgments. The fight for a clean sport demands rigor, responsibility, and respect for due process, not hasty decisions that destroy careers and credibility.

Universal Promotions will continue to defend the integrity of its athletes and the truth of the facts.
